3. Letting Gd In

Yoga flow on mats (5-7 min)
-Closed eyes, soft eyes, stretching

Introduction (3 min total)
1) Welcome
- Safe space etc
- Acknowledge wide range of backgrounds in the room
2) This semester's theme
Letting Gd In
-Building the tools of improvisation
-Increasing our awareness of the energies constantly around and within us (emotions, sensations, intuitions, impulses, desires)
-Expanding our capacity for playfulness
-Cultivating curiosity

Movement (30 min total)
1) Paired movement (15 minutes each partner)
-We will begin by finding a partner
-Sighted partner begins by being the guide, and partner without sight is guided (blindfolded, or eyes closed)
-(5 min) At first sighted partner will guide partner without sight around the room, offering interesting spaces, people, to dance with and through, guiding the person from walking to crawling to..., offering different orientations and playful, exploratory, curious ways of moving through the space around them.
-(5 min) Sighted partner will - while remaining close and ready to keep partner without sight safe - witness partner without sight as they explore, play, and see what’s possible in their interactions with other people
-(5 min) Can allow pairs to open up, as long as you keep track of who is sighted and who isn’t, so that at all times a sighted person is paired with someone who is not sighted
Switch!

Transition (5 min)
-Keep in mind partner who witnessed you, and other beings you were in contact with, continuing journey across the room; keep in mind relationships/conversations you started to form, and continue the conversation
“Over the next few moments, make your way to one side of the room, move your dance to far side of room, from there at your own pace begin your journeys together.”

Tefillah (10 min)
-Bring yourself from one side of the room to the other, any way you want
-Rather than thinking of yourself as “separate”, and making an effort to interact with others, allow the interactions that you had before to continue, to be effortless.  You can have as many interactions as you’d like.
-Be curious, playful, see how it feels, try opening/closing eyes, going from up to down, do what feels good...

Closing (10 min)
-Discussion/Hand Closing
